Mammal Trust UK's annual survey of these spaces, Living with Mammals, begins its fifth survey season in 2007 and has shown that, when we take the time to look, it can be surprising who we find our neighbours are.

 Details

The survey (which starts on 2nd April) is volunteer-based and collects records of mammals in urban green spaces such as gardens, allotments and cemeteries. It has run annually since 2003 and about four fifths of the 750 or so sites surveyed each year are gardens.
